I wish to do this fairy tale because of my childhood love for Beauty and the Beast. The stark contrasts of the two stories are actually funny. I really love that Disney couldn't have a female die, but a man falling off a castle is fine?
Anyways the nutshell version of this story is as such:
A father is going on a journey and asks his three daughters what they want him to bring back: eldest two want diamonds and pearls, the youngest wants a singing soaring lark. The father favors his youngest and finally finds like lark in the forest on his way home. He goes to take it and a lion comes out and tells him he can have it for the first thing that greats him when he gets home. It is his youngest and she goes off to marry the lion who is actually a man at night and they live happily. In an unfortunate turn of events the lion turns into a dove for 7 years, she follows him through a drop of blood and a feather he leaves every 7 steps, but in the end she looses him. In the hunt the sun gives her a dress and the moon a egg that turns into some awesome chickens. She finds him cheating (he doesn't remember her) and trades the dress and eggs to get back with him only to realize the evil witch he was marrying was an actual which who was poisoning him. They escape and have a child and live happily ever after.
I am going to keep the motif of seven and the colors red and white. I have some sketches I will put up later. GOODBYE!
